Hey hey it’s Friday!!

Yesterday I was a complete techno turd, again, instead of clicking the “save” button on my draft, I clicked the “publish” button, so I had to go private with this post yesterday coz it wasn’t Friday yet! Uhg! I can be SO dof sometimes, but so we learn hey!

My youngest is our budding photographer, he took these gorgous pics of the Clivia flowers he picked and put in a vase for me. Aren’t they just beautiful? In spring my garden is just bursting with flowers, I have lots of purple in my garden, I just love purple flowers! I tend to create gardens with a colour theme, it’s a bit anal I know, but like I’ve said before “Normal I will never be!!”

Then below is my lesson in “How to make a flame thrower” it was quite an awesome fireball the boys created!! And boy was it hot! Even my sister had a go at making balls of fire! Pete only find out later about the boys latest invention when he went through the camera. (Because I left it on the kitchen table) Oopsie daisy!! Not that he minds, he does always stress though that they can only do this sort of thing under adult supervision. Anyone interested?

And later that week, some plastic container that used to, note the operative word, used to, have fuel in it,  went up in smoke too. They added some lamp oil, a wick and douced the whole thing and promised us an explosion. There was no explosion, but it was fun seeing how big the flame got! (and the panic in Dad’s eyes when he saw what they were busy with) he he he he, yes yes, I can be evil.

And for general interest, yes, the Mr. Muscle kitchen cleaner was NOT quite finished yet! But it had miraculously vanished into thin air prior to this little experiment. Say no more.

Kitty antics.

I thought I’d let up on the family secrets for a while and post about something light for a change. In this house of mine there are bound to be more hectic stuff in the pipelines, living with two boys is not for the fainthearted, lemme tell you. When I feel more brave I’ll tell you about them almost burning down our neighbour’s garden (accident OF COURSE!)
But for now, it’s kitty’s.
We had my sister’s cat Rocky with us for week a while ago. He got up to all sorts of mischief, I’d wrtitten about it on my old blog, so I decided to add some kitty pics to the new blog. What would my blog be without some gorgeous kitty pics?  He’s an incredibly cute cat, with a huge personality. We are so used to our little princess, well behaved and dainty, that Rocky took us quite by surprise with his antics. He was sorely missed when he had to go home, I was quite ready to adopt him. But Madam would not have liked that AT ALL!
He's just adorable!

He's just adorable!

He was playing with Kelim frills in our bedroom here, the look on his face is just too adorable!

This was just hilarious!

This was just hilarious!

Here Mister decided to explore under our bed. The funny thing is, he’s used to a carpet, so when he attempted to go under the bed all we heard were nails scratching and slipping on the wooden floors! It was hilarious!!

Here Madam is being her cute self in the boys bookshelf.

Isn't she the most beautiful kitty?

 I think she’s absolutely beautiful!!

This was during that very cold spell we had a while ago, Pete fell asleep on the bed with his Israeli army jacket and his army beanie, so please excuse the fashion victim look! Cassey decided that a thick jacket was just the ticket!

Talented boys!

After the the crappy week I’ve had, I decided to post something lighthearted, I cannot focus on the bad stuff for too long, then I just become depressed and negative, and that would just suck. I know there is a long road ahead of us, on all fronts, not just dealing with grief, but also the relationships in our lives, one particular relationship at the moment. It is hard, and will always be hard, and we will run out of Mondays very soon. Some days I wish that day would be here already, but most days I don’t want to let go. It would just be so final when we finally run out of Mondays, so so final.

However, we should also focus on the good stuff.  We have a blessed life with beautiful relationships and a future to look forward to. There is so much we still want to do, as a family and also with my sister and BIL. So there is much to look forward to, it’s not all dreary. The hard part is always to pick oneself up and move forward, but it is doable. And now that spring is in the air, I’m already feeling better about the future. I know there will be some difficult days in the coming weeks, but for now I’m enjoying the warmth.

The boys and I decided to mosaic a bird bath we bought in Clarens last year, Ph bought me some beautiful tiles imported from Spain for my birthday this year, so we had some lovely tiles to work with. And when I say we, I mean the boys, I basically helped them break the tiles but that’s where my involvement stops. They did the design and all the grout work. I’m so proud of them, in a few hours the bird bath was done! We had a blast, Pete was working and we were a bit bored. Always good to have a project up one’s sleeve.

Gorgeous!

I have such talented boys! Now all I need them to still mosaic is all the flagstones that will be our new path leading up to the front door (Insert evil laugh here!) They should handle that, I’m almost 5% sure!!
